ReptiFish makes the log with boughs by hand in 3 different sizes:

• Log Small with 1 bough: 6 x 6 x 14 cm
• Log Medium with 2 boughs: 7 x 7 x 18 cm
• Log Large with 3 boughs: 8 x 8 x 24 cm

Our log with boughs are made by hand. Like all other ceramic decorations, we make everything in the Netherlands. Because they are all handmade, each log with bough will have a slightly different structure. The sizes will correspond as much as possible. The “boughs” represent the branches we make on the log with bough. So the log with 1 bough has 1 branch and the log with 3 boughs has 3 branches. The inside is smooth and the outside of the logs has a log structure with multiple bumps and holes.

Because the design of the logs makes your animal feel safe but you can still look at it.

Aquarium

The ceramic decorations are perfect for any aquarium. Because of its natural look, you can easily combine it with real wood and our ReptiFish backgrounds. Besides having a beautiful look, the logs with bough can be used as hiding places for botias, catfish, lobsters, and other fish species.

Furthermore, you can also line it with different types of plants and moss species such as java moss or anubias. For this, use aquarium glue or fishing line to secure the plant to the logs for the first few weeks. After this, the plant will grow attached to the ornament. The log with bough will also work in the aquarium as a biological filter since the structure of the ceramic is porous. The micro-cavities are home to numerous bacteria that use biodegradation to rid the aquarium water of pollutants. All in all, a great product!

Terrarium

The log with bough are widely used as hiding places for reptiles and amphibians such as frogs, geckos, bearded dragons, snakes, etc. Because they are made of ceramic, you can also use it perfectly as a damp cave or warm cave. This is because the ceramic is porous and therefore holds heat or moisture well.

Our ceramics are 100% safe for humans, animals, and the environment. They have a long lifespan and are handmade from ceramic. Because the color is ingrained in the clay, the color will never disappear. This also makes them easy to clean. Cleaning can be done easily with a soft sponge and warm water.
