Logs

ReptiFish makes the logs by hand in 7 different sizes:

• Log Xsmall: 12 x 5 x 5 cm
• Log Small: 15 x 6 x 6 cm
• Log Medium: 19 x 7 x 7 cm
• Log Large: 23 x 9 x 9 cm
• Log Xlarge: 28 x 10 x 10 cm
• Log XXlarge: 32 x 12 x 12 cm
• Log XXXlarge: 38 x 14 x 14 cm

Our logs are handmade in our own workshop in the Netherlands. All ReptiFish logs are made of brown ceramic, which is safe for humans, animals, and nature. They are available in 7 different sizes and have a brown trunk color and structure. The structure of the logs is copied by ReptiFish itself from trees found in nature. Because we make everything by hand, each log is unique. The inside is smooth, and the outside of the log has a tree trunk structure with several lumps and holes.

Aquarium

The logs are the ideal decoration in aquariums with an Amazon or rainforest look. With their natural-looking tree trunk appearance, they fit nicely between real wood and with our Backgrounds. The logs are also suitable as hiding places for botias, catfish, crayfish, and other fish species.

You can also decorate the logs with different types of plants and mosses, such as java moss or Anubias. Use aquarium glue or fishing line to secure the plant to the logs during the first few weeks. After this, the plant will grow attached to the ornament. The logs will also act as a biological filter in the aquarium as the structure of the ceramic is porous. The micro-cavities are home to numerous bacteria that biodegrade to rid the aquarium water of harmful substances. All in all, a great product!

Terrarium

Logs are widely used as hiding places for reptiles and amphibians such as frogs, geckos, bearded dragons, snakes, etc. Because they are made of ceramic, you can also use them perfectly as a damp cave or warm cave. This is because the ceramic is porous and therefore retains heat or moisture well.

Durable Ceramics

Our ceramics are 100% safe for humans, animals, and the environment. The logs have a long lifespan and are handmade of ceramic. As the colour is ingrained in the clay, the colour will never disappear. This also makes them easy to clean. Cleaning is easy with a soft sponge and warm water.
