Breeding Cave Triangle Large

ReptiFish makes the triangle breeding cave by hand in 1 size and in the colour red and brown.

The triangle breeding caves are handmade in our own workshop in the Netherlands. All ReptiFish breeding caves are made of ceramic, which is safe for humans, animals, and nature. The caves are available in red (terracotta) and brown. The breeding caves are open at the front and closed at the back.

Stacking Plates

For stacking the caves, we recommend the stacking plates. These are available in 3 sizes and in the colours terracotta red, brown, and mix colour. The stacking plates can be used with the caves, small, medium, and large.

• Stacking plate small: 14.5 x 12 x 5 cm - 2 breeding caves underneath and 1 laying cave on top
• Stacking plate medium: 22 x 12.5 cm - 3 breeding caves underneath and 2 breeding caves on top
• Stacking plate large: 32 x 12.5 cm - 4 breeding caves underneath and 3 on top

Aquarium

The triangle breeding caves are designed for larger L numbers up to 16 cm. In addition, these large caves are also very suitable for crayfish, botias, and other fish species.

For breeding, we recommend using the caves in several shapes and sizes so that the L numbers can choose which they like best. Besides the triangle large caves, we also have round caves, D-shape caves, rectangle caves, XXL caves, catfish caves, and mix colour caves. L-numbers will choose a cave not much bigger than themselves, so take this into account when buying. Also, try to place the breeding caves in different flow directions, as the fish will appreciate this. If you don’t want to breed fish, caves are also very fine hiding places for botias, large crayfish, large shrimps, catfish, etc.

L Numbers

• The Large Triangle cave is suitable for L numbers up to 16 cm, such as L066, L070, L144, L201, L204, and L333.

Terrarium

The triangle breeding caves can also be used as hiding places for smaller reptiles and amphibians such as frogs and small geckos. As ceramic is porous, it absorbs moisture and heat, making it perfect for use as a moist or warm shelter.

Durable Ceramic

Our ceramics are 100% safe for humans, animals, and the environment. The breeding caves have a long lifespan and are handmade from ceramic. As the colour is ingrained in the clay, the colour will never disappear. This also makes the breeding caves easy to clean. Cleaning is easy with a soft sponge and warm water.
