Catappa Bark Tubes

Contents: 1 piece
Catappa bark tubes are pieces of tree bark that offer several positive properties and add a natural aesthetic to your aquarium or terrarium.
Benefits
- Disease-fighting and healing effects
- Lowers the pH value
- Long-lasting effects
Catappa bark is often used in aquariums to provide natural tannins that mimic wild water and lower pH levels. They also have antibacterial properties. Due to the thick bark, the substances are released slowly, benefiting the animals for approximately 4 months. If you prefer something smaller with similar properties, our Catappa leaves are a great alternative.
Usage
We recommend 1 piece of Catappa bark for an aquarium of 75-100 liters. You can leave the bark in the aquarium after its effects wear off. Shrimp, bottom fish, and crayfish can continue to use it as a hiding place.
Fact
Catappa bark tubes are pieces of bark from the sea almond tree, which grows best on a sandy bottom. The leaves of this tree are also known as almond leaves because their kernel resembles an almond nut. Catappa has been used in aquariums for its disease-preventing and healing effects for a long time.
