Standard Backgrounds

The Standard backgrounds feature a rock structure with an embedded tree root, creating an instant natural look.

Suitable for Aquariums and Terrariums

These backgrounds can be placed in both aquariums and terrariums. The standard 3D backgrounds are 4 to 6 cm deep (at the deepest point) and enhance the perfect depth effect of the aquarium or terrarium with their special structure. The backgrounds have a base of polyester with a hard top layer of special and unique mineral resins. This makes the top layer extremely hard and safe for animals, humans, and the environment.

Material

The material is heavier than water, allowing the backgrounds to be placed loose in the aquarium if desired. Another advantage is that the backgrounds can be easily removed from the enclosure, for example, during aquarium cleaning. You can also secure the backgrounds by applying a little aquarium adhesive to the deepest points of the background.

The Standard backgrounds are manually colored using the airbrush technique. As a result, no two backgrounds are identical. Each background is unique in itself, so the backgrounds may vary slightly in color.

The ReptiFish backgrounds do not need to be treated with epoxy and can be placed directly in the aquarium upon receipt. They fit well in aquariums with a minimum depth of 30-50 cm. The indicated dimensions are those of the aquarium where the backgrounds fit. In reality, the background is always slightly smaller to fit perfectly in the aquarium. If you remove the background from the aquarium, it may discolor. This is due to the lime in the water. If you moisten the background again, the color will return.

Meshes

Meshes are attached to the sides of our backgrounds. These serve to fill any gaps that may arise between the background and the side panes. The meshes can be easily folded back between the background and the side pane. This application allows water to flow behind the wall, but fish cannot get behind it.

Backgrounds in Multiple Parts

Backgrounds delivered in 2 or more parts are easy to assemble using pre-assembled connection blocks that are of course included. This attachment method ensures that the separate parts fit perfectly together and the seam between the separate parts is minimal.

Note: For sizes of 150 cm, there are 2 tree trunks in the background.

Customization

In addition to standard backgrounds, ReptiFish also delivers custom backgrounds. These backgrounds can be ordered up to a maximum width of 1100 cm and a height of 600 cm. ReptiFish can also incorporate corners, bends, overflow, passages, etc. upon request.
