Teak Leaves
Size: 15-20 cm wide and 25-45 cm high
Contents: 10x
Teak leaves are not very well known yet, mainly due to their difficulty in obtaining. However, they have a similar effect to Catappa leaves but without the discoloration of the water.
Advantages
- Large leaves.
- Provide a natural environment.
- Contains disease inhibitors.
Teak leaves release disease-preventing substances and are an excellent food source for shrimp. They decompose much more slowly than Catappa leaves, taking about two months to break down compared to one month for Catappa leaves.
Use
Rinse the leaves before use. One leaf is suitable for about 100 liters of aquarium water. For smaller aquariums, you can easily cut the leaves with scissors.
Fact
Teak leaves come from the teak tree, which grows mainly in Southeast Asia. This tree can reach up to 40 meters in height. During the dry season, the tree loses its leaves to reduce evaporation, and in the rainy season, it blooms with fragrant white flowers pollinated by bees. Teak trees are also planted in Africa and Central America. Teak leaves are large and make for a striking decorative piece in your aquarium or terrarium.
