Root Backgrounds
The Root 3D Backgrounds have a natural appearance. With branches running over stones, they create a beautiful South American atmosphere. ReptiFish Root Backgrounds are the ideal choice for aquariums and terrariums. The Backgrounds have a base of polyester with a hard top layer made of special and unique mineral resins. This makes the top layer extremely hard and ensures the back wall is safe for animals, humans, and the environment.
Material
The material is heavier than water, allowing the Backgrounds to be placed loose in the aquarium if desired. This also provides another advantage: the Backgrounds can be easily removed from the aquarium during, for example, cleaning. Of course, you can also securely attach the Backgrounds to the aquarium or terrarium using adhesive.
The Root Backgrounds are hand-colored using airbrush techniques. This makes each back wall unique. As a result, the Backgrounds may vary slightly in color. The airbrush technique creates even more depth. The Root Backgrounds have a high-quality colorfast layer. For this reason, they do not require a toxic epoxy layer to prevent discoloration.
They fit well in aquariums with a minimum depth of 30-50 cm. The indicated dimensions are those of the aquarium in which the Backgrounds fit. In reality, the back wall is always slightly smaller to fit perfectly in the aquarium. This takes into account the thickness of the aquarium glass. Meshes are attached to the sides of our Backgrounds. These are used to fill any gaps that may occur between the back wall and the side panes. The meshes can be easily folded back between the back wall and the side pane. This application allows water to flow behind the wall but prevents fish from getting behind it.
Backgrounds in Multiple Parts
Root Backgrounds delivered in 2 or more parts are easy to assemble using pre-assembled connecting blocks that are included. This attachment method ensures that the separate parts fit perfectly together and minimizes the seam between them. Be careful with the use of ozone! Depending on the concentration and duration of use, it can damage ReptiFish products.

In addition to the Root Backgrounds, ReptiFish also provides custom Backgrounds. These Backgrounds can be ordered up to a maximum width of 1100 cm and a height of 600 cm. ReptiFish can also incorporate corners, bends, overflow, outlets, etc., as desired.
