Talawa wood is a type of wood with a straight shape and branching at the end.
Advantages
- Ideal for aquascaping.
- Create a natural look.
- Less coarse, making it easy to use in smaller enclosures.
Our talawa wood is somewhat thinner and less coarse, making it perfect for smaller enclosures. Each branch is unique due to its natural origin. You can combine multiple branches to create beautiful decorations or use them to tie aquarium plants or mosses. Talawa wood can also serve as a hiding place. For additional decoration, consider combining it with ceramic items like our logs or horse heads.
Use
When you place talawa wood in water, it may initially turn the water a bit brown, but it does not release much humic acid. We recommend soaking or brushing the wood clean before use. The wood might float initially, which can be prevented by weighting it with a stone or soaking it. Note that some mold might appear in the early stages, which is not harmful and will disappear on its own.
