ReptiFish makes the Iglu by hand in three different sizes:

• Iglu Xsmall: 10 x 10 x 4.5 cm - hole size approx. Ø3 cm
• Iglu Small: 12.5 x 12.5 x 6 cm - hole size approx. Ø3 cm
• Iglu Medium: 16 x 16 x 8 cm - hole size approx. Ø3 cm

The Iglu is an ideal hiding place for cichlids, cherry bellies, corydoras species, catfish, and other fish species. Handmade in the Netherlands, each Iglu is unique, with a structure inspired by natural trees.

Aquarium Use

The Iglu is perfect for most fish species. Our ceramic decorations help reduce aggression in fish and reptiles. The natural look blends seamlessly with real wood and ReptiFish backgrounds. Besides their aesthetic appeal, Iglus serve as hiding places for botias, catfish, lobsters, cichlids, and other fish species.

You can also line the Iglu with plants and moss species like java moss or anubias. Use aquarium glue or fishing line to secure the plant initially. Over time, the plant will grow attached to the Iglu. The porous ceramic structure acts as a biological filter, housing bacteria that help purify the aquarium water.

Terrarium Use

Iglus are also popular as shelters for reptiles and amphibians such as frogs and geckos. The porous ceramic retains heat or moisture well, making it suitable as a humid or warm cave.
